Location: Vasa efferentia are located within the testes, specifically in the epididymis, which is a coiled tube situated on the backside of each testicle.
Function: Vasa efferentia play a crucial role in transporting sperm from the testes to the epididymis, where sperm mature and gain motility. They primarily function to transport sperm.
Vas Deferens :
Location: The vas deferens is a long muscular tube that extends from the epididymis through the inguinal canal into the pelvic cavity. It travels alongside the bladder and prostate gland.
Function: The primary function of the vas deferens is to transport mature sperm from the epididymis to the urethra. During ejaculation, sperm stored in the epididymis are propelled through the vas deferens and mixed with seminal fluid from the seminal vesicles and prostate gland to form semen.
