spermicides are available in jelly, foam, creams, and in tablet form. It is used as a barrier method of birth control which contains the chemical which kills sperm. Spermicides are mainly inserted deep into the vagina of the female just before intercourse to avoid pregnancy. Foam tablets aerosol foam, chloramine T, jellies(perception) and pastes (volar paste), and creams(delve) are inserted in the vagina before intercourse to prevent sperm from entering the uterus. The device also absorbs the ejaculate. They contain lactic acid, boric acid, citric acid, zinc sulphate, and potassium permanganate.
